A well known and one of the best Dj's around Carl Cox
What has he been up to lately……..
Carl Cox is heard and seen all around the world crowds are always requesting Cox
to hit the tunes at popular events across the globe.
Carl Cox has been a professional Dj since his early teens, his favourites being acid
house and techno.
Carl's focus on playing ecstatic tunes, breaking and creating music together with his
love for music is what makes him so loved among the crowds.
He was born in Manchester and has two sisters they were all raised in the south suburbs
of London, where his love for music originated. It started off when his parents use to
have parties to celebrate the annual harvest festival of 'crop- over', his mom use to
get the drinks and punch ready while his dad concentrated on the music for the night
using a turntable that could drop discs on top of each other. When records ran out young
Carl would have the love of stepping in and searched for tunes that would keep the parents
rocking.
Carl has great love for black dance music and this was created in the mid - 70's when London
was granted an independent radio station, Capital with an American Dj Greg Edwards.
Carl's favourite records were Running Away by Ron Ayers and more such records were followed
after, like Norman Conners and Blackbyrds.
Carl got his first set of turntables at the age of 15 and began working as a mobile Dj.
His love for Techno and other types grew through many other trends and types of music.
Carl believes that techno drives him somewhere and that it includes a surprising element.
He took part in many great performances and Carl started making a great name for himself
as he is know today.
Carl recently moved close to the Gatwick airport and is focussing on his performances and
recordings. He strongly believes in what he plays and states that every one can feel that
and goes with the music, so to walk away and say I believe I have experienced the feeling
of Carl Cox.
